Based in the Rossendale Valley, they currently have two dogs of their own – Maya and Tigger. Both originally rescue dogs with varying behavioural problems, they are now the epitome of well-behaved, friendly and obedient dogs – well, most of the time! Maya is a 14-year old ginger collie-cross, and despite now being completely blind and partially deaf, still loves life and being around people. Tigger, a 7-year old black and tan collie-cross, is a bit bonkers (hence the name), but is loved all the more for it. Karen and Alan have been around numerous kinds of animals throughout their lives, and have a working knowledge of most types of pet. Both are eager to promote high standards in pet welfare, and Alan is actively involved in working at a local animal sanctuary.
